Bittersweet Thanksgiving

This is the month that sparks posts of gratitude for our blessings. I love reading about the people who have blessed others — family members, friends, co-workers. I have, indeed, been blessed by those individuals in my own life. For them, I am forever grateful.

For some, November is a time of bittersweet thanksgiving. Close loved ones have gone on to see Jesus. Although they are in a happier, better place, we deeply miss them here. The Thanksgiving holiday is a bittersweet celebration.

I share that loss and that sentiment with many readers here.

Are you missing someone that you love? Are you thankful for that person’s legacy of faith and perseverance? Is your own heart filled with bittersweet thanksgiving?

If so, let’s make this a part of our Thanksgiving prayer this season…

I thank my God

Many Blessings,

Carol
