What Will This Year Bring?

Psalm 103:1-5 Forget None of His Benefits via InspireAFire.com by Jean WIlund

What will this year bring?

Laughter?

Tears?

Perhaps it’s not so much about what happens to us that determines whether we’ll laugh or cry at year’s end.

Perhaps it depends on our memory.

Forget none of His benefits. ~ Psalm 103:2

Never Forget to Remember

We were guilty, condemned by our sin.

Yet, by grace through faith, Jesus pardons all our sin.

We were dead in our sin.

Yet, He has made those who trust in Him alive in Christ.

Sin has wreaked havoc on our soul, mind, and body.

Yet, He is our great and mighty Healer, freeing us from all sin.

We were doomed as wretched enemies of God.

Yet, He has reconciled us through Jesus and made us His sons and daughters.

We deserve hell.

Yet, God has given us eternal life and made us co-heirs with Christ by His grace through faith in Jesus.

He’s delivered us from hell and crowned with His lovingkindness and compassion.

The curse of sin forces us to work by the sweat of our brow.

Yet, Christ satisfies us with His goodness.

Our bodies grow old and fail.

         Yet, in Christ, our youth is renewed like the eagle.

By God’s Spirit, our hearts and minds soar above our frailty and find complete peace and contentment in Him.

So, What Will This Year Bring?

Only the Lord knows.

But this His Word has revealed:

We will smile,
even through our tears,
if we never forget to remember
that in Christ,
we have all we need.

Salvation in Jesus.
Peace and joy in believing.
Eternal life
safely hidden in Christ.
And the list goes on and on.
Forget none of His benefits!
Amen!

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His holy name.

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget none of His benefits;

Who pardons all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases;

Who redeems your life from the pit,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;

Who satisfies your years with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.

~ Psalm 103:1-5
